Static Website
A static website is one where the content is seldom changed, sometimes referred to as a brochure website. The content is coded into the pages at the time it is created, and each person who views the website sees exactly the same content. A dynamic website typically incorporates a database, content management system [CMS] and server-side programming. Some of the website content will be fixed, however many areas may be dynamic.
Users will typically see different content, depending on where they click. A used car or estate agent's website are good examples. The actual detail of the car or house is extracted from the database and integrated into the website page, BEFORE being displayed to the user.
